Optometrist
Dr. Cody Hicks joined CEA as a Licensed Optometrist in May 2024 after spending two years working and training with Carolina Eye ophthalmology and optometry, further expanding his knowledge of ocular disease in addition to training new staff in technical skills. His specialty covers the medical treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the eyes and pre- and post-op patient care management.
After completing his undergraduate degree, majoring in biology with a minor in Spanish at Wingate University, Dr. Hicks earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is the recipient of the UABSO Merit Scholarship and was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society.
Dr. Hicks was born and raised in Rockingham, NC. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, spending time with family, exercising and singing.
