Cataract & Glaucoma Specialist
A board-eligible ophthalmologist specializing in cataracts and glaucoma, Dr. Grissom joins CEA in October 2022.
After majoring in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Grissom earned his M.D. from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Beginning in 2018, Dr. Grissom attended Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute for an ophthalmology residency. In 2021, he continued with a glaucoma fellowship at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, OR.
Dr. Grissom’s notable educational achievements include becoming a recipient of Medical Student Research Program Grant for the Wake Forest School of Medicine. He also received the David Bryan Sloan III MD Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology in May 2017.
In his free time, Dr. Grissom enjoys hiking trails around North Carolina with his wife, cooking and trying new foods, tech and gadgets, and Carolina Basketball.
